Ziad A. HARB M.D.
Ziad was born in the United States. He traveled back to Lebanon in his very early infancy where he received his elementary and secondary schooling and achieved his medical doctor studies at Saint Joseph University. He traveled to France for his specializations in Nutrition and Metabolic diseases (Lyon-2000) and Sports Medicine (Angers-2002).
He is now established in Lebanon working in his private medical clinic in Beirut alongside being a university professor in numerous domains related to medicine, sports, nutrition...
Ziad's passion for painting and arts started since his early childhood where, already at the age of 11, he had some private oil paintings accomplished, though a big part of his early work was lost during the Lebanese war. In spite of a setback period during his studying, internship years and his travels and stays in Europe, his attachment to arts and colors brought him back mainly to oil painting with great emphasis on still life and nature. He self enriched his painting knowledge and skills through profound observation, extensive readings and autodidactic work. His perfectionist and scientific character transpires in his paintings where each theme is meticulously chosen from real life pictures or self created sceneries. His paintings are executed in an explicit and finite manner thus creating exclusively remarkable near-reality artworks.
Among his other hobbies: sports, sculpture, and handy work.
